Breaking the Fast, Restoring Hope in Sudan

As the sun sets across Sudan during Ramadan, families gather in anticipation of iftar, holding onto faith and resilience through challenging times. For many, the day has been long not only from fasting, but from the uncertainty of having enough to eat. In these moments, a shared meal becomes a source of comfort, bringing warmth and hope to those who need it most.

Every day throughout Ramadan, we are on the ground providing iftar meals to families across Sudan. With care and dedication, meals are prepared and distributed so that communities can break their fast with dignity. The smiles, the prayers, and the sense of togetherness at sunset reflect the true spirit of the holy month.

These daily iftars are more than just meals they are reminders that no one is alone. They bring people together, restore a sense of normalcy, and offer strength during difficult days.

This effort is made possible by the Lily Jay Foundation, whose support allows us to share iftar with families in Sudan every single day of Ramadan.
