New Mosque in Al-Obeid Is Open Alhamdulillah!
Alhamdulillah, we are overjoyed to share the completion and opening of the new mosque in the camp we sponsor in Al-Obeid, Sudan.
What began as a difficult period of relocation for the families in this camp has now led to a beautiful outcome: a dedicated place of worship for the community.
Over the past updates, we shared the journey with you — from the camp’s relocation, to the first wooden structure being raised, to the walls of the mosque taking shape.
Now, by the mercy of Allah and through the support of our donors, the mosque is ready and has been opened for the community.
This is a special milestone for the camp. A mosque is not just a building — it is a place where hearts find rest, where prayers are made, where children can learn the Qur’an, and where the community can gather in remembrance of Allah.
For families who have already endured so much, the opening of this mosque represents far more than construction. It represents dignity, stability, and hope.
We are also delighted to share the joy of the community as they celebrate this opening. These moments are powerful reminders of why this work matters so much.
To every supporter and supporter who contributed to making this possible: Jazakum Allahu khayran. Your support has helped create something that will continue benefiting this community, inshaAllah, for a long time to come.
We ask Allah to accept this as sadaqah jariyah for all those involved and to make this mosque a source of blessing for everyone who prays in it.
Thank you for continuing to stand with Sudan.
