Qurans and Warm Meals Distributed to our Orphans During Ramadan

In a heartfelt effort to support vulnerable communities during the holy month of Ramadan, Qurans and warm meals were distributed to orphaned children in the Philippines this week. The initiative brought together dozens of children who gathered with gratitude and quiet excitement as they received both spiritual and physical nourishment.

As the time for iftar approached, we prepared simple meals for the children who had been fasting throughout the day. Sitting together in small groups, the orphans shared food and water, breaking their fast with smiles and soft words of thanks. For many of them, the meal represented not only relief from hunger but also a reminder that they are not forgotten.

Alongside the iftar meals, copies of the Holy Quran were also given to the children, encouraging learning, reflection, and spiritual connection during Ramadan. The children carefully held the Qurans, some opening the pages with curiosity and reverence.

Moments like these bring more than food to the table they bring hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging to children who need it most.

This initiative was made possible through the generosity of supporters and donors. At Lily Jay Foundation, we remain committed to supporting vulnerable children and communities by providing both essential aid and opportunities for spiritual growth.
