Efforts to support access to clean water in Gaza are continuing through humanitarian coordination involving organizations such as WaterAid and the LilyJay Foundation. Ongoing damage to water infrastructure, combined with power shortages and limited access to repair materials, has reduced water production and distribution capacity across the territory.
Aid activities focus on sustaining essential water, sanitation, and hygiene services, including support for emergency water provision and the maintenance of existing systems where feasible. Desalination facilities, groundwater wells, and pumping stations remain affected by operational constraints, resulting in intermittent water supply in many areas.
WaterAid is engaged in technical and coordination-based WASH activities in Gaza, working with local and international partners. The LilyJay Foundation is contributing to these efforts by supporting initiatives aimed at maintaining access to essential services, including clean water, under current conditions.
Humanitarian organizations continue to monitor water and sanitation conditions as access, fuel availability, and security factors influence service levels.
