Supporting Quran Education for Orphans in Sudan’s Active War Zone

In Sudan’s ongoing conflict, access to basic necessities has become increasingly difficult especially for children. During a recent visit to an orphanage in the region, we witnessed young students learning the Quran by writing verses on wooden boards, a traditional method used when books are unavailable. Their dedication to learning, despite extreme circumstances, was both humbling and inspiring.

Recognizing the need for proper learning materials, we worked through the Lily Jay Foundation to provide printed copies of the Quran to these children. In an active war zone where resources are scarce and delivery is challenging, this effort was a meaningful step toward supporting their religious education and daily stability.

For these orphans, receiving a Quran was more than receiving a book it was a source of comfort, guidance, and hope. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this possible and remain committed to supporting vulnerable communities striving to learn and grow, even in the most difficult conditions.
