Access to clean and safe drinking water improved for a local community in Uganda today with the completion of a new water well, offering long-term relief from water shortages and health risks.
For many families, access to clean water has been a daily challenge, often requiring long journeys to unsafe water sources. The new well provides a reliable supply of clean water, helping reduce the risk of waterborne diseases and easing the burden on women and children who are often responsible for collecting water.
Community members welcomed the well as a vital resource that will support daily life, hygiene, and overall well-being. Clean water access is expected to have a lasting impact on health, education, and livelihoods in the area.
Lily Jay Foundation team continue to focus on sustainable solutions like water wells to address basic needs and strengthen community resilience.
