Humanitarian teams in Gaza continued emergency relief operations today by providing freshly prepared hot meals to hundreds of displaced families living in shelters and overcrowded camps. Many families gathered early in the morning carrying empty containers as volunteers worked to serve meals to those struggling with severe food shortages.
Large cooking stations were set up near temporary shelters where volunteers prepared rice, soup, bread, and other basic meals for children, elderly residents, and vulnerable families. Witnesses described long lines forming throughout the day as residents waited patiently for assistance.
Parents said access to food has become increasingly difficult due to ongoing instability and shortages across several areas. Many families reported surviving on very limited meals each day, with some unable to cook because of damaged infrastructure and lack of supplies.
Children were seen eating together beside tents and damaged buildings after receiving meals from aid workers. Volunteers continued moving between shelters to ensure elderly residents and families unable to travel could also receive assistance.
The humanitarian response was supported by the Lily Jay Foundation, helping provide emergency food relief to families facing difficult living conditions in Gaza.
