Alhamdulillah, with your continued support, our team on the ground has once again delivered fresh water to families in Gaza. This time, we reached a newly formed camp in Khan Younis, where hundreds of displaced families are struggling daily to access clean drinking water.
Where is Khan Younis?
Khan Younis is in the southern Gaza Strip.
š Location: About 25 km south of Gaza City and just north of Rafah (which is at the border with Egypt).
šļø Population: Itās one of the largest cities in Gaza, with both an old town and several refugee camps (Khan Younis Camp, Al-Mawasi, etc.).
šØ Conflict impact: Khan Younis has been hit very heavily during the war. Many families displaced from the north and central Gaza have ended up there, leading to massive overcrowding. Entire neighborhoods and camps have been bombed, and makeshift tent camps have sprung up in open areas around the city.
š§ Proximity to danger: Itās very close to active bombardments. especially since late 2023 when much of the north was evacuated and fighting shifted south. Areas like Al-Mawasi (west of Khan Younis) were declared āsafe zones,ā but even they have been targeted.
In Khan Younis, thousands of displaced families are now living in newly formed camps, forced into tents and makeshift shelters with almost no infrastructure. These families have been uprooted multiple times, often fleeing from one unsafe area to another. Conditions in the camps are extremely harsh ā overcrowding, lack of clean water, poor sanitation, and little to no access to medical care. Many shelters are flimsy tarps or worn tents, leaving families vulnerable to wind, rain, and flooding. Despite being declared āsafe zones,ā these areas remain deeply unsafe and deprived, making every delivery of fresh water and aid truly life-saving.
Why This Matters
In Gaza, water is not just scarce. itās life-saving. Families often walk long distances under extreme conditions just to find a few liters of clean water. By delivering water directly to the camps, we are helping mothers, children, and the elderly who otherwise would go without.
Our trucks brought much-needed relief, and the smiles and duas from the families remind us exactly why this mission is so important.
Your Impact
This milestone was only possible because of your generosity. Every donation you give is transformed into clean water, hope, and dignity for those who need it most.
We pray Allah accepts your contributions, multiplies your rewards, and eases the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza.
š§ Together, we are quenching thirst and spreading mercy.
Mashallah
