In rural areas of Uganda, access to clean water remains a daily challenge for many families. Women and children often walk long distances to collect water from unsafe sources, exposing themselves to health risks and losing valuable time that could be spent in school or at work.
A newly completed water well is now changing that reality. With safe water available within the community, families no longer depend on contaminated ponds or distant collection points. The well provides reliable access to clean water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene significantly reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.
This project was made possible through the support of the Lily Jay Foundation in partnership with local leaders. By investing in sustainable water access, the initiative strengthens public health, supports education, and improves daily life. For this community, clean water is not just a resource it is a foundation for long-term stability and growth.
