Many families arrived carrying empty bags and containers, hoping to bring something back for their children. Boxes of rice, bread, canned food, flour, and clean water were handed out as long lines formed in the streets. Children who had been weak from hunger were seen smiling as they received food. Some immediately sat beside their parents to eat, while others held bread tightly in their hands. Mothers embraced their children in tears as meals were finally prepared inside shelters and temporary homes.
Residents described severe shortages of food and clean water, saying many people had been surviving on very little for days. Parents said they were giving the last portions of food to their children while going hungry themselves.
Our workers continued distributing supplies throughout the day, moving between shelters and heavily affected areas to reach as many families as possible. Despite difficult conditions, the deliveries brought moments of relief and hope to hundreds of people. This humanitarian food distribution was carried out through the support of the Lily Jay Foundation, helping provide emergency meals to families and children facing extreme hunger in Gaza.
The foundation stated that more food assistance is urgently needed as thousands of families remain without reliable access to daily meals.
