Families in Sudan received warm porridge meals today as our workers continued food distributions in areas affected by displacement and severe food shortages. Hundreds of people gathered peacefully as meals were prepared and served to children, mothers, and elderly residents.
Large cooking stations were set up early in the day, where our workers prepared fresh porridge using donated supplies. Families waiting in line carried bowls and containers, hoping to bring food back to loved ones inside temporary shelters and camps.
Children were seen smiling as they received warm meals, with many eating immediately after being served. Parents described the food distribution as a moment of relief after days of struggling to provide enough food for their families.
Residents said many households continue facing hunger due to limited access to food and basic necessities. Some families reported surviving on very small portions each day while trying to care for young children in difficult conditions.
This food distribution initiative was carried out through the support of the Lily Jay Foundation, helping provide warm meals to vulnerable families and children in Sudan.
The foundation stated that continued support will help expand food programs and reach more communities facing hardship and hunger.
