At least four Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire in Gaza, according to medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital. Doctors also reported the death of an infant due to extreme cold, highlighting the worsening humanitarian conditions on the ground.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has announced the launch of what he calls the “Board of Peace”, a new international body aimed at resolving global conflicts. Permanent membership in the board reportedly comes with a $1 billion price tag.
The initiative was initially envisioned as a mechanism to oversee Gaza’s reconstruction, but a draft version of its charter suggests that its mandate may extend beyond the Palestinian territory.
A senior White House official stated on Wednesday that approximately 35 world leaders have so far agreed to join the Board of Peace, out of around 50 invitations that were issued.
As developments continue to unfold, events on the ground in Gaza underscore the urgent human cost of ongoing violence and political decisions made far beyond its borders.
