Israeli Attack on Gaza Tent Kills at Least Three Palestinians

At least three Palestinians were killed and several others wounded after an Israeli attack struck a family tent in southern Gaza, according to local rescue officials.

The Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza said on Thursday that its teams recovered the bodies of three people after an Israeli bombardment hit a tent sheltering a family in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis. Three others were injured in the attack, including one person who remains in critical condition, the agency said in a statement shared on Telegram.

In a separate incident, Israeli fire killed an 11-year-old Palestinian girl, Hamsa Housou, in Jabalia in northern Gaza. Her uncle, Khamis Housou, described the moment the family discovered her. “I woke up to screaming in the building,” he said. “I saw Hamsa lying on the floor, with blood coming from her nose and mouth.”

The latest attacks come despite a United States-brokered ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10. Israeli military operations have continued across Gaza, with deadly consequences for civilians.

According to Gaza’s Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 425 Palestinians have been killed and 1,206 others wounded in Israeli attacks since October 11.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians remain displaced, many sheltering in makeshift tents across the territory after their homes were destroyed during Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza. Humanitarian organisations continue to warn that civilians living in temporary shelters are especially vulnerable to airstrikes and worsening living conditions.
